Every Evil Work – Daily Devotion for March 4th

Every Evil Work

Daily Devotional for March 4th

…and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion. And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. 2 Timothy 4:17b-18

There is a fatal lie that grips our world in fear. That lie is that God is not willing to help fallen humanity out of the snares of the devil. That could not be further from the truth. If you ever get to thinking this, then take a look at the cross. God loved you so much that He allowed the kingdom of darkness to torture and kill His own Son so that His payment would be the ransom to purchase you back.

Now that Jesus’ blood has been shed and the kingdom of darkness embarrassed and defeated, your freedom from Satan is yours for the asking. Asking Jesus to take control of your life is to call on the kingdom of Heaven to rescue you from the Satan’s pathetic kingdom of bondage. When you do this, deliverance is on the way.

Paul lived for Jesus long enough to learn many things about Him. Paul found out that Jesus was faithful to do what He said. In your walk with God, you will also realize the faithfulness of Jesus and your faith will grow so much stronger to eventually you will too realize that Jesus will deliver you from every evil and wicked thing. This is the enormous power of the Gospel.  It will not only save you from the pits of Hell, but will also bring victory in every area of your life while here on the earth.

Every evil work? Yes, every one and barring none! Victory over smoking? Yes! Victory over drugs? Absolutely! Victory over alcohol? You better believe it! Over sexual lusts? Of course! John absolutely ended the discussion on what Jesus would be willing to deliver of in 1 John 3:8 says …for this purpose was the son of God manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Simply stated, if the devil is the author of what is going on in your life, then Jesus is willing and more than able to set you free of it!
