God Always Hears

Daily Devotional for May 1st

And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me. And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.  And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth. John 11:42-43

Our Heavenly Father loves communication with His children. God has always desired fellowship.  That’s why Jesus had to come to the world to die on the cross; to win back the fellowship that was severed through sin.  Now that we’re saved, God still desires to hear from us any and every time we bow your heads or call upon His name.

If you notice Jesus words to the Father, He declared that God the Father hears Him always. This is such a tremendous revelation!  Did you know that God hears you always?  Do you realize that God tunes His ear in your direction every time that you call upon Him? So many times Satan wants to tell us that our prayers have gone no further than the ceiling or they have fallen on deaf ears.  The truth is God is always listening.to your prayers.  God honors the prayers of His children and He is always faithful to answer prayer.

Many people become frustrated when they pray and the answer does not come. We must realize that God’s word teaches a few things that will hinder your prayer life.  God honors the prayers of those who honor Him.  God will not answer the prayers of those who are walking in sin.  But all who walk in fellowship with God, the Lord will honor their prayers.  We also cannot expect the Lord to give us things that will be disastrous to our spiritual lives.  God will not give us things that we may consume it upon our own lusts.  James 4:3.

Finally, we must ask in faith. Did you know that God is more excited to hear from you than you are to pray?  The Lord Himself gave us the promises of answered prayer.  Jesus said If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it! John 14:14.  Remove all things that Jesus has instructed you that will hinder your prayer life.  Once you do, a wonderful thing will happen.  You will see your prayers answered.  God is always attentive to you.  Go to God today.  Spend some time sharing your struggles with Him.  He will help you through each one.
