The Value of Your Soul

Daily Devotional for Thursday October 27th 2016

Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.  Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.  Matthew 10:29-31

Contrary to what many may believe, each life is very valuable to the Father.  Our world places very little value on unborn babies, elderly people, and those with special needs.  But God our Heavenly Father knows the value of each individual because He created you; and that for a purpose.

As Jesus taught the people, He revealed unto them that our Heavenly Father provides for all of His creation.  Although two birds are sold for a small amount of money, not one would fall without God taking notice.  God loves His creation.  He feeds the sparrows.  He clothes the fields.  His greatest creation was/is you.

Not only did Jesus reveal to the world that His Father placed much more value you people than sparrows, He also proved it by what He did.  God commended His love toward us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.  Sin will take multitudes and multitudes to an eternity in Hell.  But God sent Jesus to be the payment for your sin.

Your value was enough to God that He spared not His own Son, but gave Him up for us all!  Never allow the enemy to deceive you into thinking that God is not concerned about you or what you’re going through.  Don’t allow the devil to convince your friends or loved ones that God does not love them either.  God has shown in every way imaginable that He loves you and the rest of the world.  The only thing we need to do is come to Christ and ask Him to be the Lord and Saviour.  Once we do this and receive Him by faith, we will plainly see the work He will perform in our lives and prove to us the value of our souls.
