Scripture References: 1 Samuel 15:1-11

There are some difficult circumstances in our Christian lives. Most of those difficulties are things we allow into our lives. Each of us are the “King Saul” in our own lives. God gives us instruction/commands to follow and obey. These commands are for our benefit though. God commands us to obedience in order to survive. There are so many things out there that Satan uses to destroy us. Simple obedience is necessary even though we may not understand why God is asking us to utterly destroy certain things in our lives.

He also gives us the authority to decide what lives and what dies in our lives. However, we do not get to choose the consequences of those decisions.

This message speaks to us of our need to beware of what destruction we allow into our hearts and what it does to our Christian lives. It also speaks to us of our need to come clean before God and deal with things before God sends “Samuel the Prophet” to pay us a visit.
