The Hard Realities of the Christian Life

Scripture: 2 Timothy 4:5-18

This past Sunday mornings service was another great service! The presence of God came in such a loving way. We enjoyed another day of singing and old-fashioned rejoicing in the Spirit of God. Thank you Lord for all you do for us!

Sunday Morning’s message focused on the hard realities of the Christian life. There are some things you will encounter along your own personal road to living for God that will shock you, knock you off guard. Satan will ambush you; and leave you feeling forsaken by people. Even though these are tough things to have to endure, there is a great reality of the Christian life; and that is God’s faithfulness.

Even though the Christian life may not come easy, there is a common thread in Paul’s life as he looks back on it from the Roman prison; “The Lord Stood With Me.” There’s grace in the midst of the hardness that comes from the world. There’s help that comes in the midst of the challenges of living for God in this generation. If we can understand the simple truth that our focus must remain on Jesus Christ, then nothing in this world can detour us from making it home to our eternal reward in Heaven.
