Daily Manna
Daily Devotional for May 13th
And the children of Israel did eat manna forty years, until they came to a land inhabited; they did eat manna, until they came unto the borders of the land of Canaan. Exodus 16:35
We have much in common with the children of Israel. The Israelites started a journey out of Egypt and travelled daily toward the Promised Land God had reserved for them. Each day they walked, they were walking by the leadership of the Lord. One thing is for certain, friend, if you follow Jesus, you will be provided for. Jesus will always supply all your needs according to His riches in glory!
God had commanded Moses to fill an omer of manna to be kept for your generations; that they may see the bread wherewith I have fed you in the wilderness, when I brought you forth from the Land of Egypt. This pot was to be laid up before the Lord and kept. It was to forever remain as a memorial of God’s faithful provision for the daily needs of His people. God wanted all generations of Israel to know He would supply all of their needs. God doesn’t just want to supply the big needs in our lives, He wants to supply even the small things we all take for granted.
Jesus is our daily manna. He said “I am the bread of Life.” Do you realize that in Jesus Christ we have everything supplied? Not only are the greatest needs of our life provided, but the daily manna we need to make it through each day is also supplied by God. One of our biggest problems is we do not believe God desires to supply each little need we have. The truth is God wants to be the one, the only one we look to for every need, Even the daily needs.
Did you know Jesus loves you so much He not only desires to rescue you from sin’s prison, but He longs to be your daily provider as well? You have such a wonderful and loving Saviour. He is truly the lover of your soul. No one will ever come close to loving you like Jesus loves you. He knows the needs you have. He desires to provide the things you stand in need of. Will you trust Him today to meet those needs?
