God Always Hears
Daily Devotional for April 30th
And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me. And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me. And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth. John 11:42-43
Our Heavenly Father loves communicating with His children. God has always desired fellowship. That’s why Jesus had to come to the world to die on the cross; to win back the fellowship that was severed through sin. Now that we’re saved, God still desires to hear from us any and every time we bow our heads or call upon His name.
If you notice Jesus’ words to the Father, He declared God the Father hears Him always. This is such a tremendous revelation! Did you know God hears you always? He tunes His ear in your direction every time you call upon Him. Satan wants us to believe our prayers go no further than the ceiling, or they have fallen on deaf ears. The truth is God always hears your prayers. He honors the prayers of His children and He is always faithful to answer.
Many people become frustrated when they pray and no answer comes. We must realize God’s word teaches a few things that hinder your prayer life. God honors the prayers of those who honor Him. God will not answer the prayers of those who walk in sin. But for all who walk in fellowship with God, the Lord will honor their prayers. We must not expect the Lord to grant things that will be detrimental to our spiritual lives. God will not give us anything that we may consume it unto our own lusts. James 4:3.
Finally, we must ask in faith. Did you know God is more excited to hear from you than you are to pray? The Lord Himself gave us the promises of answered prayer. Jesus said If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it! (John 14:14). Remove all Jesus has reveal which is hindering your prayer life. Once you do, a wonderful thing will happen. You will see your prayers answered. God is always attentive to you. Go to God today. Spend some time sharing your struggles with Him. He will help you through each one.
