Finding God’s Will – Daily Devotion for March 7th

Finding God’s Will

Daily Devotional for March 7th

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that me may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Romans 12:1-2

Most people don’t think that God has a plan or purpose for their life but He does. This is rooted in the idea that God doesn’t love them as much as He does others. Your calling may not be like Paul or Peter, but it doesn’t mean God doesn’t desire to use you for His Glory. Your impact on this world cannot be measured because it is the Lord that will empower you to perform that work.

If you listen closely to these verses, they reveal the clues to finding the will of God in your life. If we will present our bodies to the service of the Lord; holy, acceptable, then the Lord will start to work on our behalf. Verse two uses two important words; conformed and transformed. Conform is the result of a person being changed from the outside in. Transform is the result of a person being changed from the inside out. God is inside you. God’s plans will be so rooted inside that a hunger and desire will be in you to drive you to fulfill God’s will. This transformation of the renewing of our minds through the Holy Spirit brings about such a knowledge of the will of God that we will be able to prove what God’s will is in our life.

Have you found yourself asking the Lord or hungering to know God’s will? If not, then start today by presenting yourself before the Lord. Repent and turn from any and all sin that you have lived in. Take away the distractions from your life that hinder your relationship with the Lord. Once you do this, God will start to unfold His plans. God’s plans are always much greater than our minds can comprehend. He makes humble shepherds into deliverers and kings. He transforms lowly fishermen into apostles to carry His gospel to the ends of the earth.

You’ll never be satisfied until you walk in the will of God. Although many people go through their entire life and never find out God’s plans for them, it doesn’t have to be the same with you. God will place such a power of His Spirit upon you to accomplish His Will. He’s more willing to reveal His will with you than you are to ask. He doesn’t play guessing games. He desires to make His plans known unto you. Ask Him today and hang on. You’ll be amazed at what He reveals.

  1. Greatly encouraging, speaks to my heart’s cry. While I have walked in the passion and flow of God’s work, that season ended. While trying to be faithful in my daily walk, I’m trusting and believing there is more.
Thank you for serving the Lord here & blessing His people.

    • There has also been an end to a season in my life sister Lisa. I truly believe that God is giving us a time of rest. He said in Psalm 23 that He would make us lie down at times. It is in these times, He allows us to rest and to restore our souls. Like you, I’m longing to be commissioned again soon and I know in these restoring seasons, He will give us anointing to carry out that next assignment. Thank you for continuing to encourage us daily!

      • Thanks brother, I really agree. I’ve had more time to study and “rest and restore” my soul – so appreciated. I also believe it’s a time of preparation – so let’s keep an expectant faith!
